Safari day 2 

Today was our first full day of safari! We woke up super early to go out on a game drive, unfortunately didn’t see many animals but we did get a good nap in. We then travelled to our next location which was so beautiful and we had a super yummy buffet lunch with lots of meat for the guys (a well deserved break from beans). We then went on our second game drive of the day where we spotted our first lion! Turns out we are very good at recreating the lions mating calls as we managed to get his attention. 

We then made it to our hotel for the night which was made up of of huts on stilts. A watering hole right by the balcony drew in loads of elephants which we got to see up close. On our last game drive of the day we saw a female lion and lots of lion cubs as well as more giraffes. We stopped for sundowners in the middle of nowhere and enjoyed a few drinks with a beautiful view of Mount Kilimanjaro. After dinner we saw the elephants up close with the whole herd coming to the watering hole, tiny baby elephants and all. We even managed to run down to the tunnel in time to see the elephants rubbing their bums on the windows… After many more hours of drinking and playing ring of fire (dom managed to pull the short end of the stick every round- it showed:)) we went to bed in our towers on stilts!!!
