1st April - Coco
Happy birthday Anna !!! The big 19.
This morning we carried on building the mud hut. We finished the roof using makati (thatch - Swahili-style) and all sides of the house were now ready for mud application.
Anna- ‘The coolest thing to do on my birthday’. After 2.5 hrs of this, we cooled down in the pool.
After a banging lunch, I quickly did my physio and then we headed out to Vipingo Ridge dam. Some how we wrangled our way into a restricted area, we entered a Jurassic Park-esque zone - but sadly no dinasuaros were spotted. Google maps did us dirty but luckily Sarah could navigate using her downloaded satalite images.
*note to all, if stuck on a desert island, bring Sarah and/or her travel/survival kit.
This dam was so effective at stopping maji that the maji seemed to have disappeared all together! (Maji = water). So instead we admired the dams impressive structural integrity and placement of the concrete.
We popped some prosexyy, ate cake and crisps, sang happy birthday, James helicoptered, Anna mooned a local, 3 of us flashed, Sarah spent 10 mins trying to find the cork and many a wild wee…
And off to the beach bar we went! Gorgeous food, gorgeous company, lil present opening time and many drinks.
The perfect way to celebrate our fave leaper!
