Saturday 20th January - Molly

Saturday blog: Today was a more relaxed day after an action packed first week here. We started with a later breakfast which suited those who had been up dancing the night before. We then headed to Kevin Beeles’ house for a morning helping out with children who suffer from cerebral palsy. Kevin set up the charity in order to help these children to have an improved quality of life so it was a rewarding thing to be involved with.

After heading back to popes for lunch and a well deserved nap and recovery time we then spent the afternoon relaxing around the pool.

Mid-afternoon we headed to kilifi to go to Saltys beach bar which has now become a favourite spot for everyone, lots of dancing, jazz music and night swims. A very fun day overall!

Oceans Alive says:

Well done to the Leapers for helping out with the cerebral palsy children. It is an informal act of charity by a neighbour and it was really good everyone could contribute a little time to helping make the day as enjoyable for the children as possible. It was a bit challenging and we appreciate your can-do attitude and resilience.

Saltys is always fun but it sounds like you got lucky with a really good night.
