Wednesday 7th Feb - Lucy M
After a delicious breakfast at Popes, we set off to a nearby village for water appreciation. This time we joined Kivukoni international school and introduced them to the concept, showing them how to fill the mtungis with water and distribute them around the village. We were lucky to also have the opportunity to grind some maize into flour for ugali, a staple dish in Kenya.
We headed back to Popes for lunch, after which Madison and I headed off to complete our second pool scuba lesson in preparation for our first open water dive the next day. Meanwhile, the rest of the group stayed at Popes for an informative Swahili lesson with Juma, before heading off to the beach bar for volleyball and snorkelling. Madison and I joined them for a delicious dinner before heading back to Popes for the night.
