26th March - Emily

Hello, here is the blog for today: After an abrupt start to the day when we were woken to the heavens opening and rain arriving! I was then woken to a sight of Anna looking funky and fresh with a mysterious swollen eye that looked like a golf ball (see pic below). Once we realised we were not in fact back in England, but still in the GORG Kenya four of us decided to hit up Vipingo Ridge (I promised we do other things apart from going to Vipingo).

Once Coco, James, Hugo and I arrived for are horse riding lesson (the four tuskerteers), we got to meet our horses for the hour. After some more then others (cough cough James) bigger up the riding ability, we set off for are hack! This started off as very peaceful and tranquil, however, in true tuskerteer style, Hugo on Jitterbug pretended to be in the Grand National and rode into a tree, James felt the need to show off that he can tame a horse and Coco bolted for the distance on Playboy! (See video below). Don’t worry my horse Bolt was a slay so was there to watch the chaos play out!
We then headed up to the clubhouse for dinner, after Hugo tried to secure the merch we had an amazing lunch!

After swimming for 3 hours we worked up an appetite and got ourselves some apperols, Quatros, g&ts, brownies, banana cake and more!

Meanwhile back at base camp, Anna, Sarah, Willy and Jake spent the day hanging out at the pool with the ALU students!

Here’s to our last full week at Pope :(
