Tuesday 17th October 

This morning we had a coral activity, where we walked out and snorkelled to the artificial reefs. They are kept underwater for a month before use to balance out the acidity in the concrete, so we scrubbed those to remove the algae. We then cleaned the plugs from the coral that had been on the tables and out-planted them onto the artificial reefs. After all the work was done we went for a snorkel, I didn’t get stung by fire coral again so I’d say it was a success. Next was a quick trip to the beach bar where our orders only just arrived before we left. After lunch we had great fun painting signs and listening to 80s music. After leaving them to dry we split into teams for raft building and a relay. It was an embarrassing defeat for Team Taa, in which their raft didn’t even make it to the water before falling apart, despite certain team members assurances that time for discussion wasn’t needed. After the healthy competition we decided to go to pool where we saw another beautiful sunset and finally spotted the moon. We played a game of Marco Polo and bulldogs before supper and an early night for most. -XO GG
