Friday 2nd Feb - Molly

Today started off with being split into 2 groups with separate activities. One group got started on permaculture in the garden at popes building a seed bed to grow spinach and other leafy greens. Our permaculture abilities have definitely improved since our first session with leah’s guidance helping us along the way.

The second group were painting signs for a local school to know the different types of permaculture techniques such as a vertical sack garden or a container garden.

lunch time came around quickly and it was then onto a fish lecture and swahili with Juma in the afternoon. our swahili is improving but still needs some serious practice!

After learning about more wrasses and parrot fish we then headed for some football with the local team. We were absolutely thrashed by their incredible football skills but enjoyed ourselves nonetheless with Lucy C being chief cheerleader holding the speaker and special mentions to Harry for being the most aggressive football player on our team. we then headed back to popes for a chilled supper and sleep after another busy day here.
